Coaching for individuals

For personal matters, a one-to-one confidential coaching session welcomes you fully as you are,
inviting thoughts as well as emotions as a guide to your needs, or what is most important to you.
In this process the aim is inner clarity and discovery of your next steps,
void of all judgment and outside advice.

A wide range of personal situations are welcome.

Some examples I help with regularly:

  • Breaking old patterns that are no longer serving you.
  • Finding meaningful connection in your life.
  • Building skills needed to handle confrontational or conflict situations.
  • Learning how to deal with your harsh inner critic.
  • Being clearer about your boundaries and saying no.
  • Dealing with unwanted loss and change; learning how to mourn.
  • Improving your life-work balance.
  • Improving your relationship with anger (yours and others).

Coaching for (committed) couples

Couples sessions are for those committed to one another and seek conflict resolution,
(re-)connection and/or learning new communication skills for sustained connection.

Typically, there is a 4-step process for maximum effectiveness:

  1. Initial, free intake conversations take place online or via telephone. These can be together or separate - please schedule using my online calendar.
  2. If you decide to work with me, I send you a draft agreement which lays out mutual clarity about how we do that. Once we each are in agreement, we sign a final agreement.
  3. I give each of you a private 30-minute online or telephone “empathy session” for full expression, being heard and inner clarity.
  4. These are followed by a joint session, in which I support you to be fully heard by each other, gain mutual clarity, understanding and compassion. Empathic listening is used as a basis to meet you both just where you are, without correcting, blaming, shaming, or solution-giving. From there new agreements are found (by you) to try out and later evaluate together and revise.

Couples can schedule as many sessions as are desired. Most go for a 5-session trajectory, with a discounted price.

Courses for existing groups

Groups who collaborate on a regular basis benefit greatly from communication skill-building training.
Courses are generally 20-30 hours and take place on a weekly basis (in person or online).

  • Letting emotions serve (balancing appreciation / celebration . . . unpleasant impact / mourning)
  • Building safety and understanding via active listening skills
  • Inclusive decision-making (based on Miki Kashtan's Convergent Facilitation method)
  • Bridging differences (working with polarization)
  • Power & privilege: uncovering our blindspots
